Truckee is located near the best skiing in the world: Tahoe Donner Cross Country (TDXC), the Auburn Ski Club Trails and Royal Gorge. My favorite spot to ski is the "I'm OK Euer OK" trail at TDXC. It takes you from the top of the ski area to the bottom in a series of exciting switchbacks. I have skied all over the world and nothing compares to this trail! Yet I must admit it's difficult to train at TDXC because I always run into so many friends—oftentimes I have to be rude and not stop to talk or I would never get anything accomplished!

I ski every chance I get, which isn't that much anymore, and whenever I have time, I volunteer as a coach for the junior skiers of the Far West Nordic and Auburn Ski Club.

Stats: Marcus Nash is a nine-time U.S. National Champion and two-time Olympian. He grew up in western Maine and began skiing at age six. Nash currently lives in Truckee with his wife, Katerina, an Olympic cross-country skier and mountain biker and his favorite cross-country partner.
