About Tahoe Quarterly
Tahoe Quarterly was first started in 1999 with the desire to bring a truly first-class publication to the Lake Tahoe area. We publish two seasonal and two special issues: Winter, Mountain Home, Summer and Best of Tahoe. In 2004, we also published the Photo Annual, featuring almost 100 photos of Tahoe by some of the area's finest photographers.
The magazine is owned and operated by a partnership, which includes Doug Swanson (President) and Chaco Mohler (Publisher). Each brings with them a substantial wealth of magazine experience, guiding the success of Tahoe Quarterly. In addition to Tahoe Quarterly, we also publish a regional magazine called Big Sky Journal. Based in Bozeman, Montana, Big Sky Journal is an award-winning literary magazine devoted to the Northern Rockies. Now in its 12th year, Big Sky Journal celebrates the Big Sky lifestyle with features on artists, writers, fly-fishing and other outdoor activities. We also publish Western Art & Architecture (www.westernartandarchitecture.com), which celebrates the talents of artists, architects and designers who visually define the wide-open spaces of the West.
Now in our 11th year, we are more excited than ever about the magazine and our place within the Lake Tahoe community. We will continue to produce the magazine with the highest regard for editorial and photographic excellence. We will continue to offer our advertisers a unique environment in which to interact with Tahoe residents and visitors. And we will continue to have fun and enjoy life at The Lake.
